But one thing bothers me about what I continue reading most forums and blogs. I visit lots of webmaster forums and visit blogs about SEO along with create some blogs of my own about SEO, Article Marketing, and Blogging. I learn a lot by visiting other people's blogs and boards and learn a lot by sharing that information with others.
But something bothers me in what I continue reading many boards and blogs. Folks are obsessed with Google. You will find forums where they check with Google as just 'h' because they be seemingly afraid someone at Google might study their post and nothing like it.
This Google obsession borders o-n lunacy. Webmasters seem to be convinced that without an excellent rating in Google and without Googles seal of approval, page rank, they cannot achieve success on line.
Let us think of that for an instant. Suddenly they just weren't there, but if they did, if Google collapsed to-morrow, not likely. http://Google.com did not handle, page cannot be displayed, what would you do?
Would it end up like the stock exchange crash of the 30's? Would webmasters be jumping off buildings? Since Google was gone would everyone just stop conducting business on the web? Could the boards be full of grieving webmasters with nowhere to show? Could they hold funeral ser-vices for your CEOs of Google and erect a statue of Matt Cutts? Could you light a candle for Google?
The idea I am trying to make is that business was being done on the internet before Google became a research website, before adnonsense and adwords, before Matt Cutts had a weblog, and before an artist was hired by Google full-time to keep making pretty little Google images. We made money on the net, before there is a Google stores, page ranking, Google pictures, toolbar, and Google pay.
However, people write articles, blogs, and forums threads that begin with things like, 'If you work online, you've to pay attention to Google', like that was a fact etched in stone.
If you're somebody who builds a lot of internet sites, take to an experiment. Dismiss Google for this 1 website. Focus on other research traffic and other techniques for getting business done. All without needing anything Google. Web Www.Plus.Google.Com/103354941295701533309/Posts/ is a pictorial online database for more concerning the meaning behind this activity. Just check it out once. I'll guess if you really try, you'll still have success with your site, without visiting Matt Cutts' weblog even once. Just make it a game, see if you're able to make money on the internet without Google.
Or do you've the Google habit so terrible that you actually believe the web couldn't actually operate without Google? It is like Al Gore saying he invented the Web. My girlfriend found out about open in a new browser window by searching Yahoo. We all know h-e didn't. Neither did Google..
